Update

I am not being very good about updating this blog. I know that I will more when Lexi starts kindergarten but I still want to remember stuff that happens now! My sister is getting married in less than a month. My dad is coming home from overseas for a short time in a week. My husband had a wreck this week and totalled his car (he was not hurt bad, just a sprained foot). Lexi sang in the choir in church for the first time last night! I will hopefully get to upload the video on here soon. She was precious, and she loved it. She grinned so big the whole time she was up there. She got her ears pierced this past summer and they were healed so I let her change them out to these cute little 14k gold hearts. Well yesterday I noticed her earlobe grew over the earring and it was sooo terrible! She's okay now though. I am doing a new weightloss program and I have already lost 10lbs in a week! Yay! Well that is the end of my random post! :)

My friend is in labor!!!

One of my very best friends since middle school is in labor with her first child! I am soo nervous for her! They induced her last night at midnight and 22 hours later she is still just 3 centimeters. They said if she doesn't get past 4 cm by 10:00 they are going to give her a c-section. I am really praying that it doens't happen that way! She is a hyperchondriac like myself and I know she is probably freaking out right now (I know I would be!)

Funny story: I went to the grocery store today with the girls and The Munchkin needed to go potty (of course!), and by the time we got in there I had to go really bad as well (its funny how that happens). Well our grocery store has those automatic toilets and The Munchkin was mad that Mommy went potty first. So when I stood up to pull up my pants, she proceeded to pitch a fit in protest that I didn't let her go first. Just as she started "bah wah wah" the toilet flushed automatically. She stoppped crying, and looked at me kinda funny. After she went potty, she turned around to flushed it and saw there was no handle for her to pull. This upset her and she looked in the potty and started her "bah wah wah" fit again, and just about that time the potty flushed again! This time she looked me like "my crying fits make the potty flush, mommy!" So then she gets excited and puts toilet paper in there and looks in the potty and proceeds to fakely "bah wah wah" at the potty again and sure enough at just the right time the toilet flushed again. It was hilarious. I am certain that my daughter now thinks that if she cries at the potty it will magically flush!

Our weekend so far...

Friday we went to this big indoor playground with my friend and her kids. We had a blast. The Princess did the sweetest thing. She met a little girl who kept pushing her and being mean to her. She came and told me and I said for her just to ask the little girl to stop. Well the little girl kept on and wouldn't stop so The Princess came back to me and complained about it some more. I told her just to ignore the little girl and stay away from her. A few minutes later I saw them playing together and I walked up to her. The Princess pointed to the little girl and said "this is the little girl who was pushing me. I took her to the top of the slide and had a little talk with her and now we are friends!" They played together the rest of the time we were there. Later, after we got home, I asked her what she said to the little girl to during their "little talk". She replied "I just told her that Jesus doesn't like it when we push each other and be mean. I told her if she would just stop pushing me then we could be friends, and she said she would." I thought that was so mature of her to do that on her own with out me prompting her to.

DH got his promotion at work so Friday night we went out and celebrated at Outback Steakhouse while his "Nana B" kept the girls. We had a really fun time. I ran into a lady from church there who I told about homeschooling the girls and she was really encouraging me about it. She said she had neighbors who did it a long time ago and all of their children turned out wonderful. I always enjoy hearing stories like that. Saturday we hung around the house and caught up on laundry and DH started installing one of those ironing boards for me that are in a cabinet recessed in the wall (my mom gave it to me). I think I'm really going like it. This morning we went to Sunday school and church and went out to eat for lunch with a couple that has a little girl who is three. Then we came home and took a looong nap and went to Steak n Shake for dinner, went and rented a movie and came back home. So that's pretty much been our weekend. Tomorrow DH is off work for MLK day so we will probably just hang around here some more.

I can't think of one

I hate coming up with titles to my posts because they are soo random. :) Yesterday was fun, although we didn't get to meet the grandkids of that lady. It is hilarious how sarcastic The Princess can be sometimes. When I get on the phone with my mom I can't seem to shut up. So yesterday I told The Princess that "I'm going to call Nana real quick". To which she replied "Real quick??" in the most sarcastic tone I've ever heard. So funny. Anyways, we had dinner at a yummy burrito place and then went to Target and then went to my Mom's house and played Sequence with my sister and her fiance (they figured out how to beat us). It was a good day! Today was pretty boring except we went to the playground at the mall and the girls had a blast. We also found some awesome deals at KB toys since they are going out of business. I'm excited about tomorrow because I get to babysit my friend's CUTE little boy.

Monday

Today we are going to do some housecleaning, some school, and hopefully later we are going to get all bundled up and go to the park with a lady that goes to church with us her granddaughters. Her oldest is The Princess's age and her youngest is just a baby. One of my good friends introduced her to me through a mentoring program at church and she has been mentoring me for the past couple of weeks. She's been giving me good books to read and encouraging me on doing my devotionals and stuff like that. We went to church yesterday and then went to my friends house with another couple and played Settlers of Catan (the best board game ever invented), while all of our kids got to play together. Then we came home and took a nap and then took The Princess to AWANA. Church and AWANA start at 5 but church is over at 6 and AWANA isn't over until 7. So DH had an hour to go sit and eat in peace while we waited for it to be over. So it was a fun day and it felt good to get the girls involved in stuff at church again.

Kidney Infection!!!

The nurse that I had from the ER the other night called me this morning to tell me that my urine culture came back positive for a kidney infection! Yay! I've never been so excited to have a kidney infection! I just HOPE that I can take the medicine and my pain will be gone and I won't have to have any more tests or any invasive procedures.
I am really excited that today is Friday as well. DH is at an interview right now for a new position that his employer wants him to take. That means he gets to come home and start the weekend early. He came home for a few minuites before he had to go to the interview and he brought us lunch. The Munchkin AKA "the master of disaster" fell out of her chair at the table with milk in her hand and I have never seen such a mess! I honestly could not stop laughing because we had milk on the floor to the ceiling and everywhere in between. It went all over the rug and under the buffet and in her hair and all over the walls. I had to move the buffet to clean it and there was milk on the wall BEHIND the buffet. It was hilarious. I guess I had to be in the right mood for it to be so funny though. Even DH couldn't stop laughing. The Munckin just looked at us and said "we made a BIG mess!" DH said "um, no YOU made a big mess!"

Hypochodriac

I think if you suffer from hypochodria then you should have to wear some sort of button or tattoo across your forehead that says: WARNING: HYPOCHONDRIC Please DO NOT Tell Me Scary Health Stories-Thank You. I ran across this woman who's son-in-law just passed away from pancreatic cancer and had all the same symptoms as I do and by the time they figured out what was wrong with him he only had 6 months to live. So being a hypochondriac, I had to go home and search the internet for hours and worry about my impending death (I know, it's so sinful!) due to the pancreatic cancer I am sure I now have.
I went to the doctor today and still no diagnosis. He thinks it could be bone or muscle causing my pain but that doesn't explain the fever and other symptoms I have. I am suppose to try some muscle relaxers and if they don't work then I go see a general surgeon on Tuesday to try and figure out where to go from there.
In other news... my kids went to bed happy tonight due to the yummy chocolate chip cookies that we made :)

Still sick :(

I just put the girls down for a nap. I still feel horrible. This stinks soo bad! DH and I have a marriage class tonight at church and I really don't want to miss it but it's not looking good. I want to go also because they have children's choir tonight and I want The Princess to be able to go. She wasn't involved in it last year and I saw pictures of the little kids doing a Christmas program and it made me soo sad that my girls weren't up there. Maybe I'll just go regardless of how I feel...

ER Visit

I got the results of my test back and they were negative. Last night I started feeling worse and running fever so DH thought we probably should go to the ER in case of an appendicitis. After a CT scan, bloodwork and 7 hours of sleepless waiting they have determined what is wrong with me: Nothing. So I am supppose go back to my primary care doctor on Thursday and see what he thinks. I think that I must just be crazy, imagining my pain, throwing up, fever and feeling terrible. Anyway, the girls are with MeMe and will be back shortly. I just hope it will all magically disappear and life can go on.

Good Intentions

I thought we would be starting school back today... instead I am sitting by the phone waiting for the Dr. to call me back to find out whether or not they will take out this gallbladder that is causing me pain.
